LES MIS CH 10

In this chapter we are told the account in which the Bishop visited a dying man who was a former member of the Convention during the French Revolution. Everyone hated this man and drove him out to the country to live in isolation and loneliness, however in his dying moments he said that he didn't hate anybody who hated or didn't hate him. The Bishop's views on kings and royalty changed because of this conversation and ended up respecting a man who he did not like upon arrival. I think that the Bishop finally saw the other side of the story and the true intentions behind the revolution led by people like this former member of the Convention.
