 In this chapter we understand why the Bishop is lonely or rather isolated and that is because he doesn't want to be changed by those who are "successful". To the common people success is like domination but the ones who wield said success confuse it with worthiness and some may very well be worthy of it but "success" can be easily achieved through corruption.
