LES MIS CH 6
In chapter 6 of Les Mis we get a layout of the house the Bishop lives in which to my understanding is the palace. The palace is a huge place and filled with luxurious rooms but one thing that caught my eye was that the entire palace just has 11 chairs in total and some of those are falling apart. So why is it that previous Bishops didn't buy more chairs when they clearly had the money to do so, is it because they never invited guest and visitors over or they just didn't get any knocking on their doors?
